Pony experience
Horses are wonderful creatures, and exploring the Swedish countryside with them is a truly special experience for both young and old. For us, it's not so important whether we can be carried on their backs or simply walk alongside them. What matters more to us is spending enjoyable time with them, learning from them, understanding them better, and connecting with them. And that's exactly what we want to pass on to our guests.
Therefore, for us, it's not the riding itself that's the focus, but the positive time spent with the pony as a whole. We place great importance on our guests being able to first get to know our ponies, groom them extensively, and give them a good cuddle. Naturally, learning important basics about horses is also included, and we're happy to provide information on everything.
In all our offers, the ponies are led by us. The rides take place at a walking pace. If suitable, a short trot may also be possible.
Children aged 10 and under must always be accompanied on rides by at least one responsible adult. If several children or siblings are taking part in a ride, they may take turns riding and helping to lead the horse. Our small ponies have a weight limit of 20kg and our Tinker Aussie has a weight limit of 65kg.
Offer 1
Short ride to the lake
This offer is very suitable for young children aged 4 and over, who have little or no previous experience with horses and would like to dive into the world of ponies.
Focus of this offer:
- Gain initial experience handling a pony and riding it.
- Enjoy a lovely time with the pony.
Procedure
After thoroughly getting to know and grooming the pony, there will be an approximately 15-minute ride to the lake, where the child can gain their first riding experience. Afterwards, the pony will be looked after again together.

- No prior knowledge required
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes in total.

Offer 2
Ride through the fairytale forest
This offer is very suitable for young children aged 4 and over who have already sat on a horse or pony a few times and can remain upright and secure on a pony for at least 50 minutes. The whole family is also welcome to accompany you on the ride through the fairy-tale forest.
Focus of this offer:
- Enjoying time with the pony in the Swedish countryside.
- Spend a lovely time with the pony and the whole family.
- Get to know how to handle the pony and learn exciting things about it.
Procedure
After getting to know and thoroughly grooming the pony, there's an approximately 50-minute ride through the typical Småland countryside with Swedish cottages, cow pastures, stone walls and fields. The highlight is the beautiful forest, where you'll ride over hill and dale to an enchanted lake. Back at the farm, the pony is cared for again together.

- Minimum age 5 years
- The child can safely stay upright on a pony for 50 minutes.
Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours in total

Offer 3
Fun and games in the riding arena
For children who have already had their first experiences with ponies, or perhaps want to visit several times during a holiday, the offerings in the riding arena are a nice change from going on hacks.
During this, we will learn even more about the pony and do about 30 minutes of lead-rein exercises on the ground in the riding arena, balance exercises on the pony, and we will playfully get to grips with riding.
Focus of this offer:
- Gain experience with the pony (grooming, leading, balance on the horse's back) and acquire knowledge (handling, leading, posture, etc.)
- Enjoy a lovely time with the pony.
Procedure
After getting to know and groom the pony thoroughly, during which the child also receives child-friendly information about keeping and handling the pony, we do leading exercises on the ground in the riding arena and playful exercises on the pony's back. Afterwards, we look after the pony together again.
Previous knowledge
- Minimum age 5 years
- The child was able to gain experience with ponies and on the back of a pony.
- The child can already sit upright on your pony for a long time.
Duration: all in all approx. 1 – 1.5 hours

Offer 4
Pony Time (Offer without riding)
This offer is aimed at very young children who have never had contact with ponies, or slightly older, pony-loving children who would simply like to spend time with ponies. Together, we will take care of the ponies extensively, grooming and looking after them. If suitable, we will take them for a walk on the lead rein.
Focus of this offer:
- Gain initial experience of handling the pony.
- Deepen the handling of the pony and learn new things about it.
- Enjoy a lovely time with the ponies.

Duration: Approx. 30 – 40 mins
Costs 250 Danish kroner.

Is your child under 4 years old?
You already have a lot of riding experience and want to go on a longer hack?
You're an adult, you rode as a child, and you might fancy getting back in the saddle again?
Your child has a disability and therefore special needs (e.g. autism spectrum, ADHD, etc.) and loves horses, but perhaps doesn't fit into any of the programmes or you are unsure about it?
You are on holiday nearby for several weeks and your child wants to visit multiple times?

Important information about our offers:
- Riding is undertaken at your own risk.
- Horses are prey animals and therefore remain unpredictable. Safety is always our priority, yet there remains a residual risk and we cannot fully control our horses.
- Please do not enter any cordoned-off areas or pony enclosures without our supervision and permission.
- Please do not feed the ponies! Not even with grass from the roadside or anything similar. Our ponies are very greedy, which is why we stick to a feeding plan to keep them as healthy and fit as possible.
- Please wear closed-toe, sturdy footwear all around the ponies (e.g. sturdy boots, walking shoes, no sandals or flip-flops).
- Riding helmets are available from us in various sizes and can be hired. However, if you have a well-fitting bicycle helmet, please bring it along. A helmet is compulsory here.
- Since there are often many insects around the ponies, we recommend wearing long pants. This also helps prevent the child from getting chafing on their legs from the saddle.
- Bring clothing appropriate for the weather, as well as sun or rain protection. The event will take place in all weather conditions, as long as there is no danger to the horse and rider.
